Jun Choi for Congress

When Jun’s parents immigrated to America, they knew that a good education was vital to Jun and his sister’s success in living out the American dream.  Improving public education is the core reason why Jun entered public service.  He will improve early childhood education, invest in teacher training and professional development, and set the highest standards for our children.  He will also focus on a national mobilization to improve STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) education.  At the New Jersey Department of Education, he helped create the NJ Standards Measurement and Resource for Teaching (NJ SMART) program to develop a consistent set of performance metrics to ensure teachers and administrators knew where children were learning and where they were not, so we can better direct resources.
