"Here's another incumbent who was outraised by their challenger - Rep. Leonard Lance, R-N.J. The two-term Republican raised $134,000 for the quarter and has $273,000 cash on hand, but his Democratic opponent, former Edison Mayor Jun Choi said in an email to supporters he's raised $180,000 - and that's just in the past eight weeks since he entered the race."

If you were to poll all the political players in New Jersey and ask them to name the person they admire the most, the top vote-getter might well be Republican Congressman Leonard Lance.

He is not the best politician or the most magnetic personality. He is a nerd who once confessed that, in the shower, he sometimes fantasizes about debt reduction.
He is not a giant fundraiser or gifted speaker. He is a formal fellow who never loosens his tie, never speaks harshly of anyone and never, ever, has emitted a whiff of corruption.

EDISON - Jun Choi, the former Edison mayor, announced today he is running for Congress in the 7th District, challenging GOP Rep. Leonard Lance in the 2012 elections.

"I'm running for Congress because we need to revitalize New Jersey and America's middle class," Choi said in a statement released today.

"Leonard Lance is an honorable man, but his stance in Washington has been different from (his) stance in Trenton," Choi said.
